Position: Warehouse Associate

Roles & Responsibilities:

The Warehouse Logistics Associate is responsible for overall inventory control of all products, including receiving, shipping, and tracking of all products within the warehouse facility.

  • Receives daily inbound product shipments from couriers and freight forwarders - identifies product received, matches product received to purchase orders and route shipments to appropriate departments/personnel.
  • Verifies box count, product count, compares to packing slip and inspects for freight damage.
  • Puts away shipments using WMS.
  • Picks products and materials for production using ERP and WMS.
  • Processes orders via shipping software (Fedex / UPS / Purolator)
  • Packs customer shipments and ensures product is protected and vehicles are properly loaded.
  • Maintains warehouse in clean, neat and highly organized manner, including all stored product, supplies, equipment, materials, etc.
  • Arranges movement and destruction of production waste through recycling efforts.
  • Ensures all safety guidelines and procedures are followed.

 

Requirements:

  • 2 + years of hands on experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment performing shipping and receiving duties.
  • Experience working with courier shipping software (Purolator, UPS, FedEx and Canada Post).
  • Computer skills knowledge of working with ERP & WMS systems a definite asset. Position also requires MS-Office skills for Outlook, Word & Excel.
  • Working knowledge of inventory management, processes and procedures
  • Some knowledge of health and safety best practices an asset
  • Team and detail oriented, good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize
  • Positive attitude, willingness to learn and adapt to change.
  • Ability to take ownership and complete the tasks.
  • A moderate amount of physical effort is required, standing, walking and carrying for part of the day, moving product throughout the warehouse. May require lifting up to 40 lbs. at times
