Maintenance Shift Team Lead

This role is an opportunity to work with a great team in a challenging and rewarding environment.  Reporting directly to the Engineering and Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Shift Team Lead is responsible for:

• Executing a “hands on” function while providing direction and support to the Maintenance Team while leading by example.
• Ensuring everyone follows Health and Safety Practices on your shift
• Continual communication with all other Departments on equipment break downs during your shift and assisting with prioritizing tasks
• Participate with the completion of preventative maintenance tasks, major and/or minor repairs to equipment and installation of new equipment

The successful candidate will bring:

• Certified Industrial Millwright 433A and/or Certified Industrial Electrician 442A
• Superior communication skills with a proven track record when training and directing in a team environment.
• Demonstrated experience in trouble shooting and problem solving.
• Good organizational skills.
• A strong understanding of the importance of Health & Safety at the workplace including such things as the O.H.S.A.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.
• Aluminum extrusion industry experience preferred.

The position offers the following:

• Two-week rotation of 8-hour shifts
• Overtime after 40 hours of work per week
• Company paid health benefits/RRSP Plan/Escalating vacation entitlement
• Shift premiums for afternoon and midnight shift
• Start rate of $43/hour after 6 months of continual work full rate of $45/hour
